West Australian born and bred, Helen writes poetry, articles, short stories and novels and has been published in Australia and overseas. Her award-winning stories, poetry and articles have been published in Indelible Ink. She has won the coveted Society trophy, the Bronze Quill, in 2007 and again in 2010, and in 2023, and in 2012 won the Best Film Script Idea in the Scarlett Stilletto competition.

Helen has held the role of Chairperson of The Society of Women Writers WA for fifteen years, is on the committee of the Rockingham Writers Centre and is Vice Chairperson of the Friends of Rockingham Arts Community (FORAC).
