West Australian born and bred, Helen writes poetry, articles, short stories and novels and has been published in Australia and overseas. Her award-winning stories, poetry and articles have been published in Indelible Ink. She has won the coveted Society trophy, the Bronze Quill, in 2007 and again in 2010, and in 2023, and in 2012 won the Best Film Script Idea in the Scarlett Stilletto competition.

Managing Editor of Linellen Press, a small publishing house on the outskirts of Perth, Helen focuses on helping Western Australian writers fulfill their goal of being published - through editing, copy-editing and book design and publishing. Helen also illustrates children's picture books, conducts creative writing workshops around the State and mentors new writers.

Helen has held the role of Chairperson of The Society of Women Writers WA for fourteen years, is on the committee of the Rockingham Writers Centre and is Vice Chairperson of the Friends of Rockingham Arts Community (FORAC).
